Boundary-Pushing Aluminium Anodising for Heliodive's New Catamaran

At Alucol, we pride ourselves on our expertise in custom aluminium anodising. Over the years, we've worked on numerous challenging projects, constantly pushing our boundaries to meet our clients' demands.

One example that truly showcases our technical skills and innovative approach is the recent project we undertook for Heliodive in France. Heliodive is a company renowned for their bespoke aluminium catamarans, and we have had the privilege to work with them on multiple projects.

In 2019, we took on a significant challenge by anodising a catamaran with 9-metre long beams for Heliodive. But in 2023, we went a step further. Heliodive

's newest boat features beams that are a staggering 12 metres long, 1.2 metres wide, and almost 2 metres tall. These massive components went through our anodising process as a whole, pushing the limits of our process baths.

This project was not only technically demanding due to the size and complexity of the parts but also required a deep understanding of the unique properties of aluminium and the anodising process. However, at Alucol, we thrive on challenges, and this project was no exception.

We're proud to report that the project was successfully completed, and Heliodive's stunning new catamaran is now sailing the waves, featuring a sleek, durable, and aesthetically pleasing anodised aluminium surface.
